DANGEROUS SHORE BREAK


A dangerous shore break means that the waves break directly onto the shore in shallow water, making them very unpredictable and dangerous.

Shore break can cause serious injury or death.

Examples of beaches on Maui where the Dangerous Shore Break sign is common are Baldwin Beach Park, Kamaloe 1, Kamaloe 2, Kamaloe 3, Hanakao’o Beach Park, and DT Fleming Beach Park.
